Turkey Curry Cabbage Soup

For Kettle

1 white onion, chopped

1 stalk celery, chopped

2 T red pepper, chopped

2 c carrot, chopped

2 c turkey, cooked

2 c cabbage, chopped

1 apple, peeled and chopped

2 c zucchini, chopped

4 c turkey broth


For Blender

1 c milk or water

1 16 oz can garbanzo beans drained


Additional Ingredients

1 1/2 t curry powder

1 1/2 t sea salt

Dash of black pepper

Directions

  1. place the top ingredients to a kettle and begin cooking it into a soup until it boils
  2. blend the milk (or water) and garbanzo beans until smooth
  3. once the kettle has reached a boil, add the items from the blender, stirring it in thoroughly
  4. stir in the curry, sea salt and black pepper
  5. bring the soup to a boil
  6. reduce heat and let simmer for one hour
