Cabbage Steaks

1 head cabbage, cut into 1/2" thick slices

3 T evo, or avocado oil

1 t parsley flakes

1/4 t ground sage

1 t dried rosemary leaves

1 t dried thyme leaves

1 t garlic powder

3/4 t sea salt

Directions

  1. preheat oven to 400 degrees
  2. line baking sheet with lightly greased parchment paper
  3. in a lg bowl, toss cabbage slices with 1 T oil
  4. combine parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme, garlic powder, and salt in a small bowl
  5. sprinkle cabbage with seasoning blend
  6. heat the remaining oil in a large skillet on medium heat
  7. lightly cook cabbage slices for four minutes turning halfway until looking golden brown
  8. place cabbage slices in a single layer on prepared baking sheet
  9. cover with a second layer of parchment paper, followed by foil paper
  10. roast for 35 minutes covered or until cabbage steak is tender when fork is inserted
  11. you can uncover and roast an additional five minutes
  12. serve immediately
