Homemade Pickles

Pickling cucumbers

Apple cider vinegar

Water

Optional add ins:

  • cayenne pepper
  • garlic cloves, minced
  • onions, minced
  • jalapeno or other pepper, minced
  • black peppercorns

Directions

  1. peel and slice the cucumbers
  2. put in a large jar
  3. fill up jar about 2/3 with apple cider vinegar
  4. add water to fill jar, covering cucumbers
  5. add optional herbs and spices
  6. seal the jar with the lid and shake
  7. refrigerate for a week before serving
