Jamaican Jerk


8 oz skinless, boneless chicken breast, halved

1/4 c white onion, chopped

1 t ground cloves

1 t allspice

1 t dried thyme

1/2 t cinnamon

1 t sea salt

2 T apple cider vinegar

Sea salt to taste


Directions


  1. combine onion, cloves, allspice, thyme, cinnamon, sea salt, and apple cider vinegar in blender and blend to form a smooth, thick paste
  2. using gloves, run the jerk seasoning onto both sides of the chicken breasts
  3. refrigerate and marinate overnight
  4. preheat grill to 400 degrees
  5. season each chicken breast with salt
  6. cook five to seven minutes on each side until cooked through
