Ground Lean Beef & Cabbage


1 lg head of cabbage, finely chopped

1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes, with juice

1 T Italian seasoning

1 # lean ground beef

Sea salt and black pepper to taste


Directions


  1. combine cabbage, tomatoes with juice, Italian seasoning, sea salt, and black pepper in a large pot over low heat
  2. bring cabbage mixture to a simmer and crumble ground beef into the pot
  3. cover and cook until cabbage is tender and ground beef is cooked through (about 45 minutes), stirring occasionally


DO NOT cook ground beef before adding to the cabbage mixture, the meat should be cooked with the cabbage.
